Pattern Play

There is power in pattern. When you repeat the simplest element, it becomes something else entirely, and sometimes you can’t even recognize the original image. This week we take simple images and repeat them in different ways using grids as guides.

Day 1 Stripes—elements arranged in rows. Choose a simple element and make a stripe pattern.

Day 2 Tossed—elements randomly placed within a defined area. Choose a simple element and make a tossed pattern.
